Information & Technology Services Division
The Information & Technology Services Division (ITS) develops and maintains the technical infrastructure that supports the agency’s business requirements, adheres to the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) standards, and utilizes industry best practices to ensure utility, reliability and security. ITS supports agency initiatives by managing the technical infrastructure for application development, network management, application and technical support, website services, and records management. The division has 12 staff.
Customers of the agency most often begin interacting with the agency via the website, where a significant amount of information is available. Online services provide license applications and renewal, various forms required to notify the agency of changes in a licensee’s business information and electronic commerce capabilities. While the information on the website is managed by the appropriate division, the design and functions of the websites are maintained by ITS.
