On the job search page, select "See all organizations", select our agency, Real Estate Commission, from the list under Company/Agency.

To submit your application for employment, select the job opening of interest, then select "Apply Online". Complete your online applicant profile and the State of Texas Application for Employment.

It is important that your application be complete and thorough. To facilitate review of your qualifications, please include all information requested, e.g. education, experience, previous compensation, reasons for leaving, and other information - do not leave any field blank. Incomplete applications are subject to rejection. This system also allows you to attach supporting documents such as transcripts, certifications and/or licensure, and any other required documents with your application. Notifications are sent electronically to the email address you provide.

If you are selected for an interview, the hiring division will contact you directly.  Only applicants interviewed will be notified when a position is filled.

Individuals who hold a license issued by TREC or the Texas Licensing & Certification Board (TALCB) must place their license in an inactive status while employed with TREC/TALCB unless the license is specifically required for the position.

Selective Service

All state agencies are required to ensure prospective employees who are required by federal law to register with Selective Service have done so.  The Agency must verify registration of males aged 18 to 25 before hire.  An individual may provide proof of exemption from registration with Selective Service.

TREC participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
