Job Summary:

The Texas Real Estate Commission seeks a Web Administrator capable of supporting our multiple web sites and product support.  This position performs computer systems analysis work. Work involves coordinating the planning and analysis of user requirements, design and presentation of pages, planning optimal navigation relating to agency websites and SharePoint applications. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Job Duties:
  • Coordinates with process owners to define requirements and translate to web driven solutions.
  • Coordinate training of new web services with staff
  • Coordinate the publishing and communication of new web services to interested parties.
  • Assist in the support of SharePoint applications and platform.
  • Assists in defining testing plans and coordinating testing activities for IT systems.
  • Develops and implements timely solutions to support agency and IT initiatives.
  • Evaluate and compare technical solutions to propose technical recommendations and direction.
  • Coordinates projects that cross functional agency systems and external entities to include, planning, and scheduling during project development and implementation stages.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
  • At least one year of professional experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP
  • At least one year of professional experience with Graphic Design and UI Development
  • At least one year of professional experience with UX Responsive and Accessible Development

Education and experience my substitute for one another on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Implementation of websites within a Drupal environment.
  • Experience in web development utilizing SharePoint.
  • Utilizing tools such as TWIG in site development.
  • Interact web development with MySQL, Oracle or MSSQL type databases.
  • Utilize source control such as GIT in code development.
  • Experience in frameworks such as Bootstrap and Vue.js.
  • Experience in Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience in configuration of Apache and nginx Web Servers.
  • Experience with tools.

  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and build effective and strategic relationships among diverse groups of people at all levels within the organization.

  • Independent and self-driven in conclusion of tasks.
Environmental and Physical Conditions:

Normal office work environment, mostly sedentary in nature. Involves speaking to groups of people. May involve walking; standing; remaining stationary for long periods of time; pulling and pushing; kneeling, stooping, and bending; and safely lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds. Work involves extensive phone usage and repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions while using the computer.
